Fresh insights on one of the most eagerly awaited developments side-scrolling action titles has just been announced, leaving fans surprised by the last-minute schedule change.
Reef Entertainment has provided an explanation for the delay in launching the latest installment, a pixel art adventure that reimagines the iconic storyline from James Cameron’s renowned film. The game immerses players in a retelling of the classic narrative through detailed vintage graphics.
Gamers will be granted the chance to assume the role of… several notable characters from the original production, such as the star cast members from the film, as well as assume the role of a member of the resistance facing the futuristic threat posed by advanced machines.
The postponement from the original date to 26 November 2025 is attributed to challenges stemming from import tariffs and related logistical issues, which have also affected the production of both the Day One and Collector’s physical editions. Although it is uncommon to delay the digital release as well, the studio’s focus on retro aesthetics and tangible formats lends credibility to this reasoning.
The game will be available on the following platforms:
- PC
- PS4
- PS5
- Xbox One
- Xbox Series
- Nintendo Switch
