PlayStation users currently have the opportunity to access Apple TV+ for three months at no charge. This promotion, beginning today (July 18), gives PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 users until September 22 to claim an extended free trial of Apple TV.
The offer, however, is exclusive to "new and qualified returning subscribers" of Apple TV+ and is limited to one per PlayStation console, PlayStation Network account, and Apple ID. Once the offer is redeemed, users can enjoy Apple TV content through the Apple TV app on their PS4 or PS5 consoles. This includes popular series like Severance, Presumed Innocent, Dark Matter, Sugar, Masters of the Air, and Monarch: Legacy of Monsters among others.
In addition to series, the subscription service also features a vast collection of films, which includes Napoleon and titles like Killers of the Flower Moon. To avoid charges post-trial, users must ensure they cancel their membership before the three months elapse, as the subscription will renew automatically.
Beyond this offer, another highlight in the PlayStation ecosystem is the success of the PlayStation Portal. Recent reports indicate it has become the top-selling accessory in the US for 2024, surpassing Sony's expectations eight months post-release. PlayStation’s VP of product management, Hiromi Wakai, noted that the Portal's popularity is aiding Sony in maintaining a steady supply of units.
